Koala is Chara, a One Piece officer in the Revolutionary Army who works alongside Sabo. She was introduced to a girl formerly a slave to the Celestial Dragons. Fisher Tiger freed her from the Sun Pirates, a group of fishmen notorious for opposing the World Government and its slave trade practices.

Koala is a young woman with brown hair and purple eyes. When she was first introduced as a child, she wore simple, worn-out clothes that reflected her status as a slave. As an adult and a member of the Revolutionary Army, Koala's attire is much more militant and functional, often including a cap, a vest, and gloves, which are suitable for her activities within the army.

Koala is kind. She is empathetic, often acting as a mediator and showing a deep understanding of others' pain and struggles. She is vehemently against any form of oppression and discrimination. Her experiences have also made her mature beyond her years, and she is serious about her duties in the Revolutionary Army.
