Yoshino Himekawa is the second Spirit saved by Shido Itsuka in Date A Live. Known for her shy and gentle nature, Yoshino frequently relies on her hand puppet, Yoshinon, to express herself and face challenges. 

Despite her power as a Spirit, she has an aversion to violence and attempts to avoid confrontation. When Shido seals her powers, she gradually learns to speak for herself, gaining confidence and interacting more comfortably within her community.

Yoshino has a sweet and reserved personality, often speaking timidly. Her shy demeanor is offset by her alter-ego, Yoshinon, a puppet that embodies her ideal “hero.” Yoshino wears her Spirit Astral Dress—a green, rabbit-themed raincoat with a poofy tail and rabbit-ear hood. She sports green boots, white dress, and a pink ribbon at her neck, enhancing her youthful appearance. In her Inverse form, her hair changes to a translucent white, her right eye turns red, and her outfit transforms to a black version of her Spirit hoodie.

Yoshinon, her puppet, has a bold and outgoing personality, often speaking in third-person and teasing Yoshino. The puppet represents Yoshino's inner strength and determination, as Yoshinon was crafted in the image of Yoshino’s mother to symbolize protection.

Yoshino’s powers are centered around water and ice, which she can manipulate in all its states, though she typically employs it in solid form. Her abilities are mostly defensive, but when provoked, she has demonstrated surprising strength, even defeating other Spirits in battle.

• Angel – Zadkiel: Yoshino’s Angel, Zadkiel, is a massive puppet-like creature resembling Yoshinon, capable of emitting freezing air akin to liquid nitrogen. Zadkiel’s true form is even larger and stronger, manipulated through strings that Yoshino controls, making it a formidable tool in combat.
• Ice Control: Yoshino’s powers allow her to generate a blizzard dome and freeze anything, including intangible barriers.
• Astral Dress: Known as “El,” Yoshino’s Astral Dress provides substantial defense, capable of withstanding heavy attacks from the AST.
