Tamayo appears as a petite young woman with long, dark brown hair worn in a braided bun secured by a floral hairpin. She has large, gentle eyes that fade from dark purple to pale lavender and red lips contrasting her pale skin. Tamayo typically wears a dark purple hōmongi kimono decorated with pale purple branches and red flowers.
Gentle, wise, and incredibly intelligent, Tamayo shows great kindness towards humans despite being a demon. She is against violence and survives on blood bought from consenting donors. However, she displays a more vicious side when confronting Muzan Kibutsuji, revealing deep-seated hatred for him.
