Outer Moka Akashiya

Rosario Vampire

The Rosario Bound Vampire
Outer Moka Akashiya

About

Outer Moka Akashiya is one of the two distinct personalities of Moka Akashiya in Rosario + Vampire. She represents the kind, gentle, and reserved side of Moka, created as a result of the Rosario Cross sealed around her neck. Outer Moka interacts with most of the characters throughout the series, embodying the softer aspects of Moka's personality, while her true form, Inner Moka, remains dormant until the rosary is removed. The Rosario Cross was placed on Moka by her mother, Akasha Bloodriver, to suppress Inner Moka’s vampiric power and protect Moka from the dangers of her true strength.

Outer Moka has long pink hair and vibrant green eyes. She wears the standard Yokai Academy school uniform, which consists of a green blazer, white shirt, and plaid skirt. Her soft features and kind demeanor reflect her compassionate personality, making her approachable and endearing to others.

Outer Moka is caring, compassionate, and nurturing, always putting others' needs before her own. Despite her vampiric nature, she often feels conflicted about her need to feed on Tsukune’s blood, expressing guilt and hesitation each time she bites him. She feels a sense of inadequacy compared to her Inner self, who is strong and capable in battle, while Outer Moka must rely on others for protection. Nevertheless, her warmth, kindness, and loyalty to Tsukune and her friends make her a beloved member of the group.

  • Vampire Nature: While Outer Moka's powers are significantly weaker than those of Inner Moka, she still retains some vampiric abilities. These include enhanced strength, speed, and regeneration, though they are heavily suppressed by the Rosario Cross.

  • Bloodsucking: Like all vampires, Outer Moka requires blood to sustain herself. She regularly bites Tsukune to satisfy this need, but she feels deep remorse for doing so, which reflects her considerate and selfless nature. Despite her guilt, the act of feeding forms a unique bond between them, even as it causes her emotional conflict.

  • Rosario Seal: The Rosario Cross around Outer Moka's neck not only seals her true powers but also creates the division between her and Inner Moka. The cross can only be removed by someone who truly loves Moka. When the seal is broken, Outer Moka fades, and Inner Moka takes control. This transformation plays a key role throughout the series, as Outer Moka’s existence is dependent on the Rosario's seal remaining intact.
