Nezuko Kamado is the deuteragonist of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and the younger sister of Tanjiro Kamado. Originally a human, she was transformed into a demon by Muzan Kibutsuji during an attack that killed the rest of her family.

Despite her demonic nature, Nezuko retains her human emotions and forms a unique bond with her brother Tanjiro, who becomes a Demon Slayer to find a cure for her condition. Unlike other demons, Nezuko refuses to consume human flesh or blood, instead recovering her strength through sleep.

As a demon, Nezuko appears as a young girl with pale skin, prominent fangs, and sharp nails. Her hair is long and black, fading to a flame-orange color at the tips. She wears a pink kimono with an asanoha pattern and a dark brown haori. Her most distinctive feature is the bamboo muzzle she wears to prevent her from biting humans.

Nezuko's personality as a demon is child-like and protective, especially towards her brother Tanjiro and those she sees as family. She retains some human emotions, displaying sadness, happiness, and fierce loyalty. Despite being a demon, she has shown extraordinary willpower in refusing to consume human flesh or blood.
