Yumeko Jabami is the protagonist of Kakegurui. She is currently a second-year student at Hyakkaou Private Academy and a compulsive gambler. Hyakkaou Private Academy is infamous for its gambling clubs, which affect the academy so much that even students' social standing is based on how good they are at gambling. This works very well for Yumeko since she's undoubtedly the best at it.

Yumeko loves gambling. However, she gets especially excited when playing a high-stakes game. Since she can effortlessly read and manipulate most people, she loves the challenge of playing against strong opponents as well. Despite being the protagonist of Kakegurui, there is still a lot of mystery surrounding Yumeko and the real motivations behind her actions.

Yumeko Jabami has a curvaceous figure. She is tall, has long hair, and her eyes turn bright red when she is excited. She easily attracts attention no matter where she goes. People, in general, are often intrigued and mesmerized by her mere presence.

Yumeko has different sides to her. Her personality is hard to understand. At one moment, she can look extremely friendly towards others, going to great lengths to help them. But at another, she seems almost bloodthirsty and scary, easily creeping out anyone who comes across her.

She is extremely smart as well, especially when it comes to anything related to gambling. She can easily trick anyone into falling for her traps, and she does this without much effort. One quality that defines Yumeko best, however, is fearlessness! She is genuinely unafraid of everything. In fact, she loves dangerous and risky situations since they actually turn her on.
