Waifu Card Club Game Rules

Chorus Mode

2 players • 10–15 minutes • 21 cards per deck

A performance, where your team challenges another in a contest to win the hearts and minds of the world.

1. Build Your Deck

  • Pick 3 Witnesses: they go on the field from the start (no duplicates allowed)
  • Add 18 Devoted: these go in your draw deck.

2. Game Setup

  • Place all 3 Witnesses face-up on the field.
  • Give each Witness a party of Devoted based on her Charm stat.
  • Use any set of Devoted you wish.
  • (e.g., if Charm = 3, attach 3 Devoted.)
  • Shuffle the rest of your Devoted. Draw 3 cards.

3. Your Turn (each turn, do this)

1. Draw 1 card (1st turn of the 1st player – cannot draw)

2. Choose a Witness for Influence and a Witness for Dazzle (may be the same one).

3. Influence

Play Devoted cards (Witness’s Influence limits how many Devoted she can play):

If Devoted is:

  • Same House = Trigger Primary effect
  • Different House = Trigger Alternate effect
*Effects are written on your Witness card *After use, Devoted go to the discard pile (unless used as material for the effect)

4. Dazzle

Use one Witness’s Dazzle stat to Dazzle the party of one opposing Witness.
Each point of Dazzle removes 1 Devoted supporter.
When the opponent’s Witness has no Devoted left, 1 more Dazzle removes them from play.

*Effects are written on your Witness card *After use, Devoted go to the discard pile (unless used as material for the effect)

4. Win the Game

You win if your opponent has no Witnesses left, or both supporter decks are empty, and you have more Witnesses performing.  If both players have the same number of Witnesses performing, it is a draw.

Duet Mode

2 players • ~5 minutes • 7 cards per deck

A chaotic 1v1 contest that resolves in just a few moves and is playable with a single booster.

1. Your Team

  • Crack open a fresh booster pack or use cards from your collection.
  • 1x Witness as the team leader.
  • 6x Devoted as supporters.

2. Game Setup

  • Place your Witness face-up on the field.
  • Give your Witness a party of Devoted based on her Charm stat.
  • Use any set of Devoted you wish.
  • (e.g. if Charm = 3, attach 3 Devoted).
  • Shuffle the rest of your Devoted. Draw 1 card.

3. Your Turn (each turn, do this)

1. Draw 1 card (1st turn of the 1st player – cannot draw)

2. Play Devoted cards (Witness’s Influence limits how many Devoted she can play):
