Rimuru's journey from a lowly blob to a freaking Demon Lord has been nothing short of awesome. We’ve seen him build an empire from scratch, make some crazy powerful friends, and kick major butt!

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season 3 is currently ongoing, and I honestly can't wait to tell you all about it.

Seasons 1 and 2 were total game-changers, and we're all hyped for Season 3 now that it's out. So What do we think about it?

Season 3 Summary

In Season 3 of "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime," our beloved Rimuru Tempest totally dominates with a jaw-dropping victory over Demon Lord Clayman, and with Diablo by his side, the war with the Falmuth Kingdom ends in an epic win for Tempest!

The nation is booming like never before, thanks to a flood of new residents and the integration of the Jura Forest. But just when things seem peaceful, the balance of power shifts and trouble starts brewing. Yuuki Kagurazaka and Kazalim are plotting with the Harlequin Alliance to take Rimuru down, and the Western Holy Church won’t stop their relentless crusade against him and his non-human friends.

Allies and enemies are playing a high-stakes game of chess, all trying to advance their plans without breaking the fragile peace. But you know it’s only a matter of time before everything explodes – the first domino is about to fall, and the race to supremacy is on!

The Holy Church vs. Rimuru

The Holy Empire, led by the Ten Great Saints, is launching a full-scale attack on Tempest. It's gonna be an epic clash between good and evil, with Rimuru and his crew on the front lines. 

The Holy Empire Ruberios, these religious fanatics, claim they are on a crusade to wipe out monsters. All in the name of their god.

It's like the bad guys were having a party, and they invited everyone. They're planning a massive attack on Tempest.

The primary reason for the attack on Tempest is the fear and prejudice against monsters. The Holy Empire Ruberios, a theocratic state, views monsters as inherently evil and a threat to humanity. Tempest, a nation predominantly populated by monsters, is seen as a direct challenge to their ideology.

The Ten Great Saints and the Seven Luminaries, the Empire's elite fighting forces, are at the forefront of this crusade. These religious nuts think they're better than everyone else, and they want to prove it by destroying Tempest.

Additionally, the Empire aims to expand its territory and influence. By conquering Tempest, they can solidify their position as a dominant power in the region.

So, the attack is not solely motivated by hatred but also by strategic interests.

My Two Cents

This season feels like a massive downgrade. It's like the people behind it were challenged to make the most boring anime this season, and they're winning.

The first few episodes are just a slideshow of talking heads. We're stuck in a room, listening to people talk for what feels like forever. 

Three episodes in, and I'm still waiting for something to happen. No real conflict, no tension, just a bunch of characters standing around talking. It's like they forgot how to write an engaging plot. I'm starting to think they're just padding out the season.

I mean, the animation and voice acting are fine, but the pacing felt kind of slow at times. Don't get me wrong, I love character development and all, but I wanted more action!

All those talking heads can be a drag. Then again, the anime is just adapting the light novel very faithfully, if I may add. We need to appreciate their effort to stay true to the source material.

The story is packed with details and world-building, and trying to fit it all into one season is tough. Cutting too much would mess up the whole thing. It’s like trying to cram a novel into a short story.

This ain't just about punching and kicking, yo. The story's not just about the action; it's about the drama and the consequences of war. Rimuru's trying to build a peaceful world, while Hinata's all about wiping out monsters.

But we can't deny that the pacing in the early episodes is killing the vibe. It's like they're afraid to get to the good stuff. I mean, we get it: world-building is important, but we also want epic battles and character development. Let's hope things pick up soon!
