A new addition to the summer anime scene, My Isekai Life: I Gained a Second Character Class and Became the Strongest Sage in the World, has recently hit our screens! I gathered everything you need to know about My Isekai Life!

The name suggests it will be another addition to the popular isekai genre, which has been around for quite a while now. So fans may be looking forward to it based on the name alone (or the exact opposite, considering how many animes are already in the genre).

Yuuji Sano, a normal Japanese corporate drone, is summoned to another world through a curious invitation on his computer. Unlike most isekai protagonists, he’s eager to return to his mundane life and office work instead of exploring the new fantasy world around him. In this world, he isn’t an average corporate worker, but instead, he is now a monster tamer, a person who can tame the beasts of this world!

The job isn’t too suited toward becoming an adventurer, though. So not long after, he acquires a second profession, the Sage, thanks to a couple of slimes with information from magical books. Our hero suddenly becomes an overpowered mage with tamer abilities, quite possibly the most powerful person to exist in this world!

The story is based on the light novel series of the same name, and for those who prefer the manga medium, don’t worry—it’s in the works! The anime is planned to have 12 episodes, with the first one airing on July 4th, 2022. The anime is streaming exclusively on HI DIVE! The game My Isekai Life: Strongest Sage Online, based on the anime, will be released on June 20th, 2022!

Isekai may be becoming an oversaturated genre, but My Isekai Life is one you can’t miss. Who knows, it may even pull off some amazing feats and compete with Overlord and Rising of the Shield Hero to become a popular isekai anime!
