What if we became in-game friends one day?
One of the things I love doing in my free time is playing games! I like playing console, mobile, PC, and even board games (they are excellent for sleepovers with my besties)!
I already know that throughout 2023, there will be several fun releases, and I want to try out many anime games!
If you don't know what new games to add to your collection, here are some suggestions on my radar!
One Piece: Odyssey
A JRPG released not long ago where you can visit iconic places from the One Piece anime and meet well-known, original characters from the game!
It has outstanding art and long hours of gameplay involving the main characters and side quests.
In the game, you play as Straw Hat crew members! And an excellent combat system makes it more interesting than the usual turn-based one.
Still, battles don't seem very challenging. So the game is excellent if you want to relax and enjoy visiting iconic places from the One Piece anime.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade
This one is a free-to-play mobile RPG originally set to be released in 2022.
I'm also a little surprised that Jujutsu Kaisen is already getting a game after only one season, from 2020. But it's a great show that does deserve one!
Aside from the game, Jujutsu Kaisen already has a prequel movie, and the anime's second season is to air in July 2023.
The game's release date schedule is Spring 2023. So fans of Jujutsu Kaisen (and everybody else) are close to trying it!
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin
If, like me, you love Genshin Impact AND The Seven Deadly Sins, you're also looking forward to playing The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, aren't you?
But even if you have never watched the anime (or read the manga), I find it hard not to be mesmerized by the landscapes and colors shown in the official trailers.
I have no information about the release date yet, but I know the game will be an open-world RPG available for the console, mobile, and PC so everybody can play it!
Anonymous;Code
The visual novel Anonymous;Code is the latest title in the Science Adventure Series by Mages and Chiyomaru (same timeline as Steins;Gate and Occultic;Nine) – taking place in 2037 and 2038.
In this game, after a technological disaster ended millions of lives, scientists run a simulation that will make them question even their existence.
The game is already in Japan. But those who live on the other side of the planet still need to wait a little longer to play it. Hang in there!
Summer Time Rendering: Another Horizon
Another game I feel worth giving a shot (no tragic pun intended😳) is Summer Time Rendering: Another Horizon!
The anime Summer Time Rendering is about mysterious events in a small town involving a "shadow," so I expect the game to be as exciting!
This one is also a visual novel game, and aside from the main story presented in the anime, this visual novel contains other original stories too!
But wait! There's more!
Besides these games I mentioned, there will be other fantastic anime games of all kinds to make our otaku lives even more exciting!
And I can't forget about the ones currently on the market! They aren't less fun just because they are older, and some are getting exciting DLCs and updates!
Whether the game is old or new, I know that as long as it looks fun, I'll give it a chance, and if you do the same, maybe our avatars will meet online one day! Wouldn't that be amazing?
