Yuzuru Yamai, one of the separated entities of the original Yamai Spirit, is the more composed twin with a stoic demeanor. Despite being identical twins, Yuzuru and Kaguya differ remarkably in both speech and temperament, giving each her own distinct identity. 

The original Yamai was mysteriously split in two, causing Kaguya and Yuzuru to engage in a long-standing competition to determine which would inherit the title of the "real Yamai." Despite their rivalry, both sisters deeply cherish one another, a sentiment that becomes clear when they encounter Shido. Yuzuru eventually agrees to seal her Spirit powers, allowing her and Kaguya to coexist without sacrificing one another.

While physically identical to Kaguya, Yuzuru’s distinct features set her apart, including her composed posture, calm facial expressions, and a speech pattern that resembles a robot, with succinct preambles like “Confirm” before statements.

Her hair is braided in three sections, contributing to her mature look, and her mercury-blue eyes usually convey a reserved attitude. Unlike Kaguya’s Astral Dress, which is purple, Yuzuru’s is a bluish-purple with chains on her left hand and foot and a small cape. In everyday attire, Yuzuru favors more refined clothing, often choosing mature outfits and adapting well to Raizen High School’s uniform upon enrolling.

Yuzuru possesses wind-manipulation powers shared with her twin, Kaguya, allowing them both to control air currents and achieve unmatched agility among Spirits. Together, they can summon typhoons and create powerful combined attacks. With her unique Spirit weapon—a pendulum—Yuzuru can execute swift, precise attacks that are both graceful and lethal.
