Ikumi Unagiya is the owner and manager of the Unagiya Shop in Karakura Town. She runs a business that performs various odd jobs for customers. Ikumi is known for her aggressive and violent tendencies, often using excessive force to get her way.

However, she maintains a caring and motherly demeanor around her son, Kaoru. Despite her rough exterior, Ikumi has shown a softer side, offering advice and support to Ichigo Kurosaki, whom she sees as a younger sibling.

Ikumi is a tall, curvaceous woman with fair skin and brown eyes. Her raven hair is styled in a ponytail with bangs parted to the left. When working, Ikumi wears a white t-shirt with long purple sleeves, tight black pants, a buckle belt, and black rubber boots. She also dons a brown cap with goggles and work gloves. Around her son, Ikumi removes the hat, gloves, and goggles and wears an apron instead.

Ikumi is known for her aggressive and violent behavior, often using excessive force to achieve her goals. She is willing to physically assault others, as demonstrated when she beats up a group of thugs to bring Ichigo to work. Ikumi has occasionally offered Ichigo advice and emotional support during difficult times.
