Four Ecchi Anime Worth Watching For More Than Just The "PLOT"

Ecchi anime can have captivating stories too!

If you are a subscriber or have been around for a while, you know that I enjoy all kinds of good anime, including ECCHI!

As a great fan of shows like Highschool of the Dead, Highschool DxD, and No Game No Life, I love spicy jokes and how oppais are often emphasized by cute outfits. But I love it even more when authors can make them part of a great story!

The following recommendations are some of the best ecchi anime that will captivate you because of their ACTUAL plot!

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation

A hikikomori’s life ends in a tragic accident, and he is reborn into a loving family in another world as little Rudeus Greyrat. He adapts to his new environment quickly and becomes aware of many things children usually aren't — since nobody expects him to have the understanding of an adult.

Things get interesting when he starts to display a great talent for magic.

What I like the most about this anime is that Rudeus tries to make the most of his new life and slowly works to overcome the traumas of his past one. Talk about a strong life lesson!

Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma

Have you ever tried a dish so tasty that you feel you're in heaven? That’s the goal of the chefs in Food Wars!

Souma Yukihira has been cooking with his father since he was little. But when he learns his father plans to close their family restaurant to take a job in New York, he gets distraught.

Instead of going with his father, Souma stays in Japan and enrolls at Tootsuki Culinary Academy. The school is famous for its intense cooking competitions and a less than 1% graduation rate.

If Food Wars awakens the chef inside you, you can start your culinary journey with these easy anime-inspired recipes!

KILL la KILL

KILL la KILL is one of those great anime with rebellious characters, and we can’t forget the strong role clothes AND nudity play in this show.

Seeking answers about her father's death, Ryuuko Matoi goes to Honnouji Academy, a high school ruled by the mean but influential student Satsuki Kiryuuin and her followers. All of whom wear uniforms that give them special powers.

When she confronts Satsuki, Ryuuko gets badly beaten and has to return home, where she finds a rare and sentient sailor uniform. She names it Senketsu.

The uniform activates and enhances her innate fighting skills when it gets in contact with her blood. But the thing is, the more connected Ryuuko and Senketsu are, the smaller it becomes!

This anime is intense, fun, and has a great message.

Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend

This list ends with a less aggressive but equally good ecchi anime! Saekano is a romantic comedy that I hold dear. It's about a young otaku man who, after years of building his collection, wants to provide the same happy experience for other otakus!

Tomoya Aki wants to create a visual novel and gets the help of three beautiful female friends to do it. He wants his game to touch the hearts of players, but the team must understand the feeling they are trying to evoke first.

These Titles Are Still Ecchi Anime, Though

No matter how great the stories are, these ecchi anime titles are still aimed at older audiences. So be sure to check the rating system in your country before watching. However, if you are at the right age, I hope you have fun watching these shows.

Have you ever watched these titles? Once you have, tell me which one you liked best!

Also, remember that you can change your subscription to receive ecchi merch items in your monthly anime boxes. Plus, keep voting on your favorite anime!
