Useful Anime Merch to Carry Everywhere

Anime stuff for everyone, everywhere!

Isn’t it a pain when you enter a store, and no matter how many products you see, none of them match your tastes? Sometimes we feel that stores have products for all kinds of interests but ours, and when we do buy something, it doesn’t quite match our vibe, and we can’t feel truly satisfied.

In the past, we (otakus) had difficulty finding anything to express our love for anime and manga, and items we would truly identify with. Anime plushies, figurines, and posters became easier to find over time, but that wasn’t enough! Otakus want to look and feel good while studying, practicing sports, or doing anything else an otaku wants to do!

The good news is that it’s much easier to buy anime merchandise items now! If you can’t find an anime shop near you, there are online stores that ship worldwide, and, of course, there is also a certain cute and friendly otaku girl -ahem, myself- willing to send a loot box with exclusive anime products every month, a.k.a The Otaku Box!

Here are a few suggestions of useful objects that can be replaced with anime merch for those who are proud of being otakus wherever they are!

Bags

Movie: Mitsuha Miyamizu and Taki Tachibana on the street

First, it’s essential to have plenty of space for new anime stuff and the ability to carry them around. Gym bags, tote bags, and backpacks are handy options to keep all your important things close to you.

Watches

Code Geass, Season 2, Episode 20 || Credits: Code Geass IMDb

There’s no need to use your bright yellow pokemon watch during an important business meeting if you don’t feel like doing so. Different occasions ask for certain clothing and accessories, so it’s possible to have a small collection of watches with superfun wristbands and those with sophisticated designs based on anime emblems.

Umbrellas

Teasing Master Takagi-san, Season 1, Episode 3 || Credits:Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san IMDb

What is the weather like where you live? If you’re the kind of person that always has an umbrella nearby, one with an anime design is an exciting idea to show everyone that you love anime, rain or shine, as long as the design isn’t compromising (like those upskirt umbrellas). Unless you are daring enough to show your ecchi side in public!

Stationery

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, Season 1, Episode 4 || Credits: Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid IMDb

If you like (or have) to write and take notes, anime school and office supplies are perfect choices. Keep yourself motivated using pens, notebooks, planners, and several other products with cool art of your favorite characters printed on them! Make a nice set to match your mug in your study corner or home office, or keep the smaller ones in an anime pencil pouch for a daily reminder that your waifu is cheering for you!

Headphones

Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku, Season 1, Episode 10 || Credits: Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku IMDb

Leaving home doesn’t mean leaving your anime behind! Another fantastic idea, for example, is to listen to anime soundtracks and musical themes during your commute. To have a better experience and not bother the gentle old lady sitting beside you, you’ll need headphones.

Phone Case

Gamers!, Season 1, Episode 7 || Credits: Gamers! IMDb

We check our phones plenty of times a day. They are with us virtually 24/7. So why not add a stylish case that will make you smile every time you look at it? It could be either a simple one or one that's more extravagant, and your device will look much cooler while being protected from damage.

Apron

The Way of the Househusband, Part 1, Episode 3 || Credits: The Way of the Househusband IMDb

This one is for all the “otaku master chefs” out there! Why would you risk staining your favorite anime t-shirt or hoodie when you can wear a cool apron over them? Your guests will be amazed by how tasty your new recipe is and how fashionable you look with your anime apron on!
