If you're not excited about it, I'll tell you why you should be!

The 2022 year has been great for anime fans! We watched outstanding shows, read fantastic mangas, and met new charming waifus and husbandos!

And, of course, I’d be excited about 2023 as more anime is waiting for us in the next season!

And one of them is Bungou Stray Dogs! This amazing story is back with its fourth season in January 2023 and I can’t wait to see all the literary icons and their abilities!

What is it? Don’t you know what I’m talking about? Not a problem!

I, Liz, can tell you a few things about this great anime, so you are ready for the next season!

What is Bungou Stray Dogs about?

Bungou Stray Dogs, also known as Bunsto, is a manga written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa that was published in 2012 and is still active! The most recent volume so far, the 22nd one, was released in March 2022!

The manga started from Kafka Asagiri’s idea of turning famous authors and poets into young adults and teenagers with supernatural powers, so don’t be surprised when you come across familiar names, like Edgar Allan Poe or Margaret Mitchell!

The anime adaptation is produced by Studio BONES and has 36 episodes split into three seasons. The first two were from 2016, while the third one was aired in 2019.

Do you think that’s all? Of course not!

Being one of the most popular series in Japan, Bungou Stray Dogs also released OAVs, spin-offs, light novels, and even stage plays! This is so exciting!

The Story!

The story begins when the main character, Atsushi Nakajima, is standing by a river, considering robbing somebody in a desperate attempt to get food.

Atsushi was an orphan and sadly aged out of the system. Kicked out, with no where to go and no food, he has to figure out what his next move is.

However, instead of stealing, he rescues a man from drowning in the river.

The man in question is Osamu Dazai, a member of the Armed Detective Agency, an organization where agents use their supernatural powers to deal with extremely dangerous cases.

Dazai and his partner, Doppo Kunikida, are after a tiger that is threatening the area, and Atsushi fears the beast is hunting him!

Due to his possible connection with the tiger, Dazai asks for Atsushi’s help, and after the case is closed, Atsushi becomes part of the organization.

Time to watch the anime!

I just can’t hide how excited I am about Bungou Stray Dogs season 4! 🤩

Besides the amazing art, the show also has lots of action, mystery, and comic moments. If you haven’t watched the three previous seasons yet, go ahead and do it ASAP!
