What are you going to watch next?
With the next anime season, I can’t help but anticipate the new titles I’m going to watch!
Part of the list is very easy to figure out: There will be new seasons of several animes I already love, like Attack on Titan Final Season Part Three, which I can’t miss.
But new exciting titles are coming too!
So in this post, I will focus on the brand new anime adaptations that I’m looking forward to watching in 2023!!!
Back in the late 90s, Trigun was a huge success! Vash the Stampede gathered fans worldwide with his charisma and mad skills!
Vash the Stampede, also known as “The Humanoid Typhoon,” is a gunman on the run with a 60 billion double-dollar bounty on his head.
He is constantly being chased by mercenaries and can’t help but leave a trail of destruction everywhere he goes.
However, Vash avoids violence as much as possible, and despite all the damage caused, not a single life is taken.
Will the brand-new adaptation keep up with the first one’s success? I can't wait to find out!
NieR:Automata Ver1.1a is the anime adaptation of the award-winning game released in 2017, NieR:Automata.
The game tells the story of androids 2B, 9S, and A2 sent to defeat mechanical beings that took over Earth, so humans can finally return to the planet.
And I'm really excited to see those stunning androids again!
Based on the Light Novel written by Takemachi and illustrated by Tomari, Spy Classroom, or Spy Room, is another promising Anime!
According to its synopsis, The unbeatable spy named Klaus takes a truly impossible mission: the chance of failure is 90%!
On top of that, he recruits seven inexperienced girls that were already considered unsuited to be spies! Can you imagine how anxious I am to see what will happen?!
Frieren has caught my attention for a while now. It gives a new perspective to the usual group of adventurers from fantasy stories.
Instead of the well-known journey after a powerful villain, the story tells what happened to the heroes after they defeated the demon king.
For the elf Frieren, decades don’t mean a long time, but things don’t work the same way for her friends, especially the humans, with a much shorter lifespan.
Frieren’s new journey involves revisiting her past and reviewing her actions while guiding her friends' pupils.
Here is another one I’m dying to watch: Hell’s Paradise! It follows the story of Gabimaru. An emotionless ninja who was betrayed and sent to death row.
Gabimaru seems comfortable with the idea, but deep inside, he still wants to return to his wife and attempts to end his life don't work. This is what I call love! 😍
After realizing the shinobi has, in fact, a good reason to live, his executioner proposes that Gabimaru joins an expedition to a mysterious island in search of the elixir of life. If he succeeds, he’ll be granted a full pardon to live his happy married life.
And last but not least, one of the most anticipated animes on this list: Solo Leveling!
There have been rumors and controversy throughout the year about this manhwa, but I knew such an exciting story would get a well-deserved anime adaptation!
And I'm curious to know if and what changes will happen in the story!
In Solo Leveling, the world is connected with the realm of magic and monsters, and to fight the threat they pose, some people receive superhuman powers and become known as "Hunters."
Sung Jin-Woo is one of these hunters, but the weakest of them. Still, given his financial situation, he has no choice but to keep risking his life.
One of his missions goes terribly wrong, and Jin-Woo believes he’s done for. Three days later, he wakes up in a hospital, and in front of him, there is this floating screen demanding he complete an intensive training program.
These are just a few animes I’m going to watch in 2023!
I’m so excited that, even though I haven’t watched them yet, I’m already thinking about which ones should be included in future anime boxes!
