My favorite seasonal Waifus from Spring 2023.

Who is the most popular Waifu from 2023 so far?

Spring anime season runs from April to June, and this year, otakus were introduced to great new titles, such as Hell’s Paradise, Heavenly Delusion, and Oshi no Ko. And as expected, with great anime comes great waifus!

Today I will share some of my favorite girls from the last three months. We may think alike when it comes to anime characters.

Nagisa Kubo - Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible

I have a couple of otaku friends I hope will find someone like Nagisa. People who are shy or simply more reserved may have difficulty approaching others, but this cheerful waifu changed that!

Nagisa is a lively high-schooler with a warm but mischievous smile. She is playful and persistent to the point of being a little annoying. But she doesn’t act out of selfishness.

With her bright personality, Nagisa does what she can to help those dear to her!

Elda - Otaku Elf

Elda is an otaku, just like you and me! She was summoned to earth around 400 years ago and has lived among humans as a deity. However, after some comments about her long ears made her self-conscious, she refused to leave her shrine.

It’s fun to see how she’s generally childish and lazy but has moments of seriousness and wisdom. When Elda smiles gently and talks about the Edo period, she feels wise and gentle with a motherly aura that fits an ara-ara waifu.

But what is most special about this waifu is that she is like us, mortal humans!

She is an elf from another world treated as a deity but still plays video games, orders snacks online, and treats others as equals.

Akane Hououji - Goddess Cafe Terrace

Why don’t we go for a charming coffee break? Our waitress will be Akane Hououji, of course!

As one would expect from a harem anime, every waifu living and serving at the Familia Café Terrace is beautiful and has its charm. And Akane is one of my favorites!

She acts cool, has a cute shy side, and makes delicious coffee. What’s not to love? Plus, she became unstoppable after facing her insecurities and getting more assertive!

Sagiri Yamada Asaemon - Hell’s Paradise

Spring 2023 brought Sagiri straight out of Paradise for us otakus!

Sagiri is elegant, medium height, a skilled swordswoman, and has a slim body and generous curves — enough to grant her a spot inside the hearts of many otakus!

But there’s more to this waifu than her beauty!

Despite being an executioner, she is still a very compassionate person. So she struggles internally when she needs to take the life of a criminal. But even so, she is serious about her job and life and stands true to herself.

Over time, she learns to accept her demons instead of fighting them, which is an excellent life lesson.

This past anime season seems like one for popular Yamada characters. Some honorable mentions are the young Anna (The Dangers in My Heart) and Akito (My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999) for the husbando addicted!

Kana Arima - Oshi No Ko

It’s so hard to choose only one female character among all the pretty and cool ones from Oshi no Ko!

Ai Hoshino is beautiful and charismatic. So is her daughter Ruby, although on a smaller scale. Akane Kurokawa is delicate, hardworking, and talented — another waifu worth worshiping.

But Kana Arima surprised me with her development post-time skip! She was just a little girl when she learned the hard way that talent alone and being snobbish wouldn’t take her anywhere.

It’s a shame that she and all the other girls from Oshi no Ko had to go through so much, but I’m proud of them.

Who Is Your Best Girl From Spring 2023?

Spring 2023 brought so many wonderful anime girls that picking only five waifus for this post was hard. And on that note, who do you think is the most gorgeous waifu from the past season?
