Ah… Rias Gremory. The lead female character in High School DxD series.
This beautiful red-haired anime girl is one of the most popular waifus across the world. She has been enchanting otakus with her demonic powers since her debut in 2008 with the publication of the light novel written by Ichiei Ishibumi and illustrated by Miyama-Zero.
It has been over ten years since the first episode of the anime adaptation of High School DxD was aired.
As we patiently wait for the fifth season, which is said to have had its production delayed due to the pandemic, let's give our Princess of Destruction the attention she deserves!
High School DxD is an ecchi story that shows oppais all the time (and they are everywhere!) and provides an amazing storyline.
This anime will grab your attention with its well-developed plot, funny jokes, incredible battles, and charming characters, like Akeno Himejima, another top-tier waifu, and our princess, Rias.
Like many other anime franchises, it started as a light novel series written by Ichiei Ishibumi and illustrated by Miyama-Zero.
The first volume was published in 2008, and the latest compilation of short stories, High School DxD DX volume 7, was released in March 2022.
The manga adaptation began serialization in 2010, and the anime only launched two years later in 2012.
The story revolves around Issei Hyoudou, a perverted high school student attending a former all-girls school, hoping to easily get a girlfriend considering the girls to boys ratio.
He is successful, in a way, since he happens to be asked out by a cute girl named Yuuma Amano. The problem is, Yuuma is a Fallen Angel who wants to kill Issei.
He doesn't stand a chance against the sudden attack, and on his deathbed, all he can think of is oppais and how the blood on his hand reminds him of his senpai, the stunning president of the Occult Research Club, Rias Gremory.
What seems to be just a weird nightmare proves to be very real shortly after, when Issei finds Rias sleeping on his bed. She had revived him by turning him into a devil and her servant.
Rias is a beautiful eighteen-year-old woman with a curvaceous body, blue eyes (or green in the anime), and long crimson hair, which granted her the nickname "Crimson-haired Ruin Princess."
She is a powerful devil and heiress of the Gremory family. Her position attracts men who are only interested in her status, which makes her bitter about relationships, until she meets and falls in love with Issei.
But being much stronger than a high-class devil is just one of her characteristics!
Rias is intelligent, talented, caring, and protective but she is also impatient, competitive, and a spendthrift. She's also an excellent cook and dancer, among other things. In other words, a five-star waifu!
However, she becomes a different person when she sees another woman flirting with or teasing Issei. In the beginning, she would get jealous and frustrated when that happened, and wanted to make it clear that Issei belonged to her.
That changed a lot when they started dating, and Rias eventually accepted Issei's dream of having a harem! Since Rias is Issei's official girlfriend and fiancé, she is considered his "Legal Wife".
Rias Gremory is such a perfect waifu that other fellow otakus (me included!) can't get satisfied with only a few pics! And if you are one of us, I have something for you. And I'm not talking about all the Rias Gremory figures I've released until now.
