The Lovely and Fun Dojikko Trope!

Dojikkos are those cute anime characters, especially females, who are usually easy to approach and have hearts of gold. But they are incredibly clumsy, and that's why so many otakus love them!

These beauties often fall over things, spill drinks, or drop objects. However, they differ from some dere types who start acting awkwardly around their love interest. Dojikko characters are just a bit distracted.

Even so, their clumsiness is adorable, although trusting them with simple tasks may be a bad idea. And no matter how old they are, fans feel the need to protect them!

So, how do you take care of a Dojikko?

1. Support Her At All Costs!

Take Tanaka from How Clumsy You Are, Miss Ueno, as an example. Ueno isn’t the clumsy girl that trips and falls, but she’s awkward when expressing her feelings.

Ueno is a brilliant inventor and, instead of using conventional methods to convey her feelings for Tanaka, creates crazy devices and makes him test each. She thinks this is an excellent way to get the boy interested in her.

However, Tanaka isn’t afraid of setting boundaries and telling her when he isn’t comfortable with the situation. But he never leaves Ueno or the Science Club and always returns the following day for another questionable invention!

2. Be Prepared to Treat Her (and others') Injuries!

A curious fact about clumsy anime girls is that they rarely hurt themselves, but that doesn't mean others are left unharmed!

The best thing you can do is be prepared with adhesive bandages, pain relief ointment, painkillers, and whatever else you find helpful.

For instance, Tearju Lunatique from To LOVE-Ru Darkness is another genius scientist and caring woman who is terrible at simple tasks or just moving around. So she gives herself and whoever is next to her some bruises.

3. Take Cover!

Some Dojikkos have immense strength or destructive powers and zero dexterity, such as Darkness, from KonoSuba.

Darkness wields a longsword, but her attacks don’t hit their targets. She doesn’t mind getting hit, though, and has high endurance. But you may want to keep a safe distance while she brandishes her sword. Better safe than sorry.
